The long awaited premiere of the Drain Cloggers!

Ladies and gentile man, the Drain Cloggers have hit Brooklyn! That's right, it was on Saturday evening when Rachel Prince, Aron Malkine, and myself were strolling down Berry in Williamsburg only to behold a flatbed truck. To our great delight, the "flat bed" was made of wood, and all was good! Rachel and I did a double take, made eye contact, and climbed our way up onto that mother of a truck.
Oh glory, how I love wood. It sounds so sweet, even with sneakers on. And a one, two, three!
So rhythm we made, and a one man audience we had (Aron). As people passed by, some stopped for minute, others just turned there head to smile and wonder. Loving any audience, I could not help smiling back to draw them in. Across the street, the door man stepped outside to see what all the fuss was about. He seemed amused and curious. But, the best part is about to come, are you ready? Down the street we had noticed police lights bright and shining. It crossed my mind only for a moment that maybe what we were doing was some how not aloud, but F it! Once my feet start moving, it's on. They came.....pulling up slow one called out to us "ok ladies, show us what you got", that is not what I was expecting to come out of that mouth! But, indeed, this is true. Of course we obliged them with our best steps grinning and enjoying their enjoyment. Six basics and a Cindy! That was some good fun, and the Drain Cloggers were born!
To top it off, Aron happened to have a camera on him which also took video. Thanks to him, we have some footage of that moment. Thanks man, you caught us in the act! You can view the clip on mine, Rachel, or Aron's pages on facebook.
After some time, we grew tired and heard our bellies calling. "When do we eat!" That is the question. So we got helped down by our dear Aron, and continued on the quest for diner, which ended in a home cooked meal of pesto salmon, chard, plantains, and much more! Yum!
Thanks Rachel and Aron for magical moment, and thanks to the driver who parked his truck on Berry between N 11 and 10th!
